World Food Day

16
October 2020

World Food Day is celebrated on 16 October. It was established in 1979 at a Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) conference of the United Nations. It has since been observed every year in more than 150 countries, raising awareness of what has been done and ought to be done to save humanity from hunger, undernourishment and poverty. World Food Day is celebrated every year around the world on 16 October in honour of the date of the founding of the FAO in 1945.
