Ludwig van Beethoven’s Birthday

December 2020
Ludwig van Beethoven (17.12.1770 – 26.03.1827) was a great German composer and conductor, one of the greatest musical geniuses of the world culture. Beethoven’s uniqueness is in the fact that his talent revealed itself in full only when he became totally deaf. Classical music reached its apogee in his work. It was not only because Beethoven could take the best out of what had come before him but because, a contemporary of the Great French Revolution, which proclaimed the concepts of liberty, equality and fraternity, he showed in his music that ordinary people were the real force behind the revolutionary transformations.
