International Museum Day (IMD)

Since 1978 International Museum Day is celebrated in 150 countries. It is believed that via museums society expresses its attitude to the historical and cultural heritage. Museums acquire, conserve, research, communicate and exhibit items of material and spiritual culture providing scientific and educational work in the service of society.
