November 2020

International Day of the Blind is celebrated on 13 November in honour of the birthday of the French educator Valentin Hauy in 1745, who founded several schools and enterprises for the blind in Paris and St Petersburg. The main goal of the Day is to raise public awareness of those who have lost their eyesight permanently and found themselves in a difficult situation in life.
