International Day for Protection of Children

01
June 2020

International Day for Protection of Children (sometimes also referred to as International Children's Day) has been observed as a world awareness day since 1950. It has a flag. There are stylized human characters – red, yellow, blue, white and black – that are placed around the symbol of the Earth against a green background symbolizing growth, harmony, freshness and fertility. These figures symbolize diversity and tolerance. The sign of the Earth in the middle indicates that the planet is our common home. International Children’s Day is not only a fun holiday for children themselves, but a reminder to all people of the need to protect children’s rights and to make their life happy so that they could become wonderful parents and good citizens of their countries in the future.
