Georgia Independence Day

Independence Day is a major public holiday in Georgia. An independence referendum was held in Georgia in 1991. After that the Georgian Supreme Council adopted the restoration of Georgia’s independence on the basis of the Act of Declaration of Independence of Georgia of 1918 and Constitution of 1921.
